Another season of All Stars has arrived and so has the gap toothed queen herself, Heidi N Closet. As the first queen to enter the Werk Room, she holds up a purse with two big red lips and a gap on it but moves her bag to reveal an improved version of Heidi’s makeup. She’s wearing a short bodycon dress with white panelling in the center and denim blue on the sides outlining her figure. The bodice connects to her sleeves, which honestly just look like jean pants on her arms.

Mrs. Kasha Davis comes in with a knee length black shimmery dress that has a red belt, lapel, and big classic drag hair to add pops of color. Her entrance line is: “My name is Mrs. Kasha Davis and I’m an alcoholic. Whoops, wrong meeting,” and I genuinely giggled.

Naysha Lopez walks in with a couture prison look. In bright orange tailored pants and a super cropped top, she has handcuffs dangling all over her in order for her entrance line to work: “It must be a crime to serve this much beauty.”

Who might this be? Kahanna Montrese? Who? Just kidding! She might have gone home second on season 11, but after getting some professional experience working at “RuPaul’s Drag Race Live!” in Las Vegas, the glow-up is real. She’s in a red, black, and gold ring-leader look with massive ostrich feather hip and shoulder accents with a glittery bodice and top hat. She does admit to getting work done on her nose, eyebrows, teeth, ass and hips and it was all money well spent.

“The muse is back,” exclaims Kandy Muse as she walks in wearing a short orange, layered dress with a fushia lining. Her hair is quite similar to RuPaul’s famous single artwork for her song “Supermodel (You Better Work),” but Kandy’s is not as exquisite. She says she’s one of the most polarizing queens in Drag Race history and honeslty it’s quite true because while I’m a fan, I know a decent amount of people who aren’t.

Darienne Lake comes into the Werk Room wearing a well fitted blue dress with white stoning. Her entrance line is, “The weight is over,” since she lost about 200 pounds which makes the line even smarter.

One of the biggest surprises to see on any All Stars season since she hasn’t really been involved in a lot of post-Drag Race anything, Monica Beverly Hills makes her return. She’s in a slutty pink, purple, and white Girl Scouts look with thigh high socks, a beret with “MBH” on it, and of course her shorts are very short.

This season has a decent amount of first or second eliminated queens on their original season and Jaymes Mansfiled is one of them. She has on a pink mermaid dress and a white exaggerated collar, belt, gloves, hat, and shoes. I know she’s a talented wig creator and designer as well as a comedian, but god damn that high pitched character voice is quite annoying, so I hope we hear more of her real voice.

Season 9 shit-stirer McGee, Alexis Michelle looks fantastic in a short faux-leather dress with lacing on the skirt, black velvet arm sleeves, and a bright orange wig.

Up next is the queen I’m the most excited to see: Jessica Wild. She’s covered in gold, a reference to the challenge she went home on in season 2 where her book was titled “Jessica Wild: The Dreams of a Golden Child.” In a high-low skirt, puffed shoulders, leggings embelished with gold and white designs, and big classic drag hair with an interesting half hair circle kind of dangling from her forehead. The look is busy but we can tell it’s expensive.

Jimbo is back for a third time! And if you can’t tell, I’m pretty happy. In a full body latex suit that goes all the way up her neck and down to her feet, her breasts are probably double Q’s (is that a breast size?), a silver and black bikini, ugly sandals, and sunglasses. This is by far my favorite entrance look ever.

LaLa Ri has arrived and after being given the Golden Boot on season 13 for her atrocious bag look. She re-enters the Werk Room in a gold look, with anime-like garters, a crop top covered in gold armer, and Elton John-like sunglasses that are as wide as her shoulders.

Ru enters the Werk Room because she has to and tells this tale of why she asked these queens to come back. Classic All Star rules are in effect, there would be one winner who goes against a lip sync assassin, if the All Star wins then she sends one of her competitors home, and if the lip sync assassin wins the queen that goes home is up to the groups vote. The new standard cash prize is $200,000. But of course there’s a twist, Ru only says there’s two ways to win, but she’ll tell the queens more about it later.

The mini challenge is a fashion show eleganza, the first part is a Famous Then look, meaning a look from back in the day, then a Famous Now look, which is self explanatory. The judges present for the mini challenge are Michelle, Ru, Ross Matthews, and Raven (probably because Raven was already in the other room).

  • First up is Alexis Michelle serving Norma Desmond in an all white look consisting of a crystal jumpsuit, coat and turbin.
  • Kahanna is in a pretty, yet modern black pageant gown with silver crystals throughout the dress that also form the shape of her breasts, and the big slit on her left leg is quite effective. The most expensive part of the look isn’t her Marcel wave wig, but the dozen black fox tails.
  • I don’t get this look, but apparently she’s a porcelain doll. The glass is shattered at her jaw and mouth, but the green and white bonet, dress with exaggerated hips, and white leggings, gloves, and umbrella kind of tie the look together.
  • Kasha Davis is in a lovely all pink, sparkly high-low gown that exposes her left hip, a cape with an ostrich feather trim, and a big ostrich feather turbin.
  • I know Naysah Lopez is a former Miss Continental winner, so I wonder about some of her looks. She’s in a matronly, black and white, classic Chanel jacket and skirt with an old timey hat on, which, I’m sorry to say, is not very sexy.
  • Kandy kisses RuPaul’s ass in another reference Ru’s 1992 single artwork in an orange top and hot pink tulle skirt and gloves. The hair is at least somewhat like Ru’s with the exaggerated, sculptural curls, but it still looks a bit off.
  • Darienne claims her look is referencing the Renaissance era, but this is giving me a stoner hippy from New Paltz. She has on a skirt with a wavy purple and blue pattern, silver stoned purple corset, purple bra and see through cape.
  • Monica serves ancient Egypt in a cape with gold feathers and hyrogliphics printed on, a gold headpiece that looks like rays are shining from her head, and a beauftical gold and black catsuit reminisent of the gold feathers.
  • Jaymes is in a, supposedly, traditional Mexican gown with white appliques on the border of the little black satin jacket and front part of her skirt flap. She takes off the jacket to reveal a bra with rhinestone nipples.
  • Jessica Wild is in the better of the two ancient Egypt looks with a metallic gold Nefertiti headpiece, gold and multicolored Egyptian collar, bodice and front skirt flap, as well as knee high boots. She also has a white fabric cape to tie the look together.
  • Jimbo is in a unique recreation of Marilyn Monroe’s most famous look, a white dress that looks like it’s permanently having wind blown under it. It’s quite sculptural.
  • Lala Ri is in a classic silver, shimmery column dress and cape with a white fur trim.

Time for the “Famous Now” looks:

  • Alexis is in a recreation of Kim Kardashian’s Met Gala look where she was in an all black Balenciaga dress that also covered her face, only exposing her ponytail. The look is spot on.
  • Kahanna is in a recreation of Lil Nas X’s Grammy’s bright pink, bondage meets cowboy redcarpet look but she has added a skirt to further feminize it.
  • I don’t know how Heidi interpreted this to be a current look since she looks like a 70’s high fashion model. The top of the dress and massive bow in the back have a purple, white, and yellow pattern while there’s a statement purple tulle peticoat under the dress.
  • Mrs. Kasha Davis is in a Liza Minelli black baggy shirt and pant combo with multicolored stoning. Oh wait, she says this is her Kris Jenner look because of the hair. Interesting.
  • Naysha is serving Donatella Versace in a green bodysuit-dress with a silk pink lining on one leg and what’s supposed to be a Versace print on the other. At least the blonde wig is accurate.
  • Kandy says it’s high fashion, but I say it’s a mall look. In a blush pink monochromatic outfit, she has a floor length fur coat and shiny skirt and corset top. I actually love the extreme hot pink blush and her platinum blonde wig with touches of yellow in it.
  • Darienne Lake is in a controversial look for Drag Race. She’s in a lime green oversized tee shirt with an abstract “DL” symbol in black, and somewhat baggy black pants. The neon green sunglasses and green and black wig make it a Billie Eilish reference.
  • Monica is serving Kim Petras in a blong wig, large black and brown ambre sunglasses, black mock Louis Vuitton bra and skirt, thigh high boots with gold fringe, and a bag that writes “MBH.”
  • Jaymes is supposedly in a JoJo Siwa look if she was into harnesses and ugly clothes. It’s a monochromatic look with an iridescent purple skirt and bow, and the purple catsuit doesn’t really add anything to it.
  • Jessica Wild is in a red monochromatic look with a latex mini dress, bolero jacket-gloves, and thigh high boots. The silver chains and black chocker and sunglasses make her look like a somewhat modern rocker, but it’s supposed to be inspired by Bad Bunny.
  • Jimbo is in a black tulle dress with the words “LIKE ME” going down the front of the dress and the word “FOLLOW” down the back. Her thumbs up hair, black and silver spiked choker, and black lipstick add touches of punk.
  • LaLa Ri spent probably 10 minutes and $2.99 on this look. She’s in a plain nude catsuit with the words “RU-LY” covering her breasts, “FANZ” covering her pussy, and “SUBSCRIBE” covering her ass. At least the short yellow wig looks expensive.

Once the girls get out of drag, I barely noticed that Ru came back into the Werk Room, but she announces that the queens will be performing to new versions of the underground classic “Money, Success, Fame, Glamour” by The Fabulous Pop Tarts, aka the executive producers of Drag Race and Ru’s “friends” Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey. Alexis, Darienne, Heidi, Kahanna, Kandy, and Naysha Lopez are in a group doing the glam rock version of the song, while Jaymes, Jessica, Jimbo, Lala Ri, Monica, and Kasha are doing the disco mix.

For the choreography part for the glam rock team, they leave the choreography up to Heidi, but it’s too Bob Fosse, so Kandy Muse speaks up calling it “corny.” Kandy says it should be more rocker diva, so Heidi says to Kandy, “Okay then lead diva.” But then they bring Heidi back as the choreographer. As for the other team, Jessica and Lala Ri lead the choreography, but because they’re both dancers, they overdo the choreography and didn’t take into account that some of the queens aren’t trained dancers like they are.

While the queens are getting ready, Heidi, Jimbo, and Kandy form an alliance because they’ve been on tour together so therefore they have each other’s backs.

Ru walks the runway in a neon green gown with a shiny black belt and armpit length gloves. Michelle and Ross are there and the guest judge is the mega-talented Idina Menzel.

First up is the glam rock group, The Fame Tarts, where Alexis starts, having a good ole broadway time; Darienne tries her best but misses a decent amount of the choreography; Heidi is good but that gap thing needs to go; Kahanna’s performing skills are phenomenal and her lyrics about her glow up stand out; Kandy is quite great to no surprise; and Naysha’s lyrics are okay and her performing was acceptable. Also, Kahanna’s drop into a sex bomb floor pose was the perfect way to end the number.

The Glitter Chicks are next with the disco version of the song. Jaymes’ compares herself to Margot Robbie, which is pretty funny, but she can’t really dance or perform in a cunt way but she camp well; Jessica is a fantastic dancer and performer even though she can’t really sing; Jimbo spells out her name and sounds like a dad rapping; Lala Ri knows how to rap and of course slays the choreography and even uses Jimbo as a chair to sit on for a few seconds; Monica tries her best but she isn’t a flashy performer and looks kind of shy; and Kasha looks like a middle aged mom trying to rap. Several queens miss the choreography though.

The category on the runway is Famous Forever, serving timeless signature drag:

  • Alexis is in a beautiful and classic coral, peach dress with draping on the midsection leading to a big slit on her left hip and her left arm has a three quarter length glove while her other arm is exposed. Her makeup has had a big glow up since she looks very soft.
  • Darienne Lake has on a dress that changes from cheetah print into a golden glitter fabric. The dress would’ve worked as a simple form fitting gown, but for some reason there’s what looks like a skirt on her midsection which throws off her figure.
  • Heidi already needs to stop with the gap bit, but I don’t see that happening. Her dress looks like Chris Tucker’s outfit from The Fifth Element with the exaggerated collar but her version is a gown in a white and black leopard print. The dress has a magenta lining that matches the gloves and leggings, but the staff with a big gapped toothed mouth is not necessary.
  • Kahanna has the most obvious glow up. She looks like a sexy Egyptian phoenix with yellow, orange, and red feathered wings that touch the floor, gold bra, collar, panty skirt, and boots that have multicolored stones throughout it. Also her wig is made out of glass beads with a ponytail sticking out from the back. She looks stunning.
  • Kandy Muse is serving a Mugler inspired look with what seems like a red metal bodysuit with eccenutated hips and breasts that are covered in silver stones, which also accent her upper arm sleeves and sculpted wig.
  • I know this is going to sound very rude, but since Naysha Lopez is a former Miss Contiental, I feel like she should be giving grandeur looks. She’s in a full body silvery blue catsuit which covers her gloves down to her shoes. There’s beautiful silver stones throughout the piece and the fabric gathers on her right midsection. Her hair is a glamorously quaffed, updo that is nearly three times the size of her head.
  • Jaymes Mansfild looks stunning in a blush pink dress that is form fitting in the top half and falls beautifully on the lower half, probably from that fur trim. The fur shawl dangling from her arms looks expensive and her 1950’s wig ties the look together.
  • Apparently, Jessica Wild is a rocker chick. In a drag version of a rocker girl look, her bodysuit looks like a leather jacket morphed into a burgundy velvet leotard with chains and stoning throughout the piece. She has a black tulle fabric on her backside, which I’m sure is meant to look like a train but it’s a little short.
  • Jimbo is in one of my favorite looks in Drag Race. The entirety of the look is a trippy exploding brain. She has green, blue, and pink eyes on her breats and a mouth that is on her vagina with blue lips, green teeth, and a blue tongue that has smiley face LSD tabs. The rest of the body suit is covered in what looks like blown up brains and more eyeballs and her wig is a massive brain made out of hair. We can tell Jimbo has experimented with mind altering drugs and we’re so happy for it.
  • LaLa Ri is in a grapefruit pink colored dress and bodysuit. The right half is a flowy and rouched gown and the left is a fitted bodysuit with gold designs on it.
  • Monica Beverly Hillz shows us that less is more. In an all purple sequined bodysuit, gloves, and earrings with glass beads dangling from her breasts and hips and silver ice skater-like ankle boots, she looks gorgeous.
  • Mrs. Kasha Davis looks like a drag version of a ‘60s housewife. She has on an indigo dress that’s nipped in at the waist, cut below the knee, and her sculpted metallic gold ‘60s wig is an elevated look for her.

Heidi, Kandy, Naysha, Jessica, Jimbo, and Mrs. Kasha Davis are deemed safe while Alexis Michelle, Kahanna Monstrese, and LaLa Ri are in the top, Jaymes Mansfield should’ve been safe but I couldn’t tell if she was in the top, and Darienne Lake and Monica Beverly Hillz are in the bottom. To sum it up, they loved Alexis’ elevated fashion as well her her performing skills on the mainstage; Michelle thought Darienne’s Billie Eilish inspired look wasn’t draggy enough, but no one can deny that she missed a lot of the choreography; Kahanna’s looks were amazing and her performance was effervescent; Jaymes got good critiques for the mini challenge runway looks but in the girl group challenge she missed the choreography but the judges didn’t care…so I have no idea what that means; for Lala Ri the judges liked the upgraded looks (except for the Famous Now $2.99 look) and her energy during the girl group number; the judges hone in on Monica looking very nervous basically the whole time and unfortunately we see her cry again.

Kahanna is the winner of this week’s challenge and gets a cash prize of $5,000. The lip sync assassin is one of the best lip sync performers and voguers on the show: Aja LaBeija. Lip syncing to “Freakum Dress” by Beyonce, Aja begins with the smoothest wig reveal with a little head whip exposing the same wig underneath. Aja also beautifully deathdrops, splits, and moves her body like no one else can. While Kahanna did a great job with her long hair whips and strong dance moves, Aja wins and the $10,000 cash prize rolls over to next week.

Before the elimination, Ru explains that there will be something called “The Fame Games” where every eliminated queen will get the chance to compete in an online competition based on their runway looks. Fans will then vote on their favorite runway looks and determine who wins the title, “Queen of the Fame Games” and wins $50,000. Afterwards, Aja reveals that the queen the girls decided to send home is Monica Beverly Hillz.
