Marcia Marcia Marcia entertained us with her acting and comedic chops which got her to the top 7 on RuPaul’s Drag Race season 15. Unfortunately, she isn’t feeling as spritely as we’ve seen her on TV due to criticism about her makeup. On October 25, Marcia announced on X and an Instagram story that she is taking a break from social media.

The conversation about her mug was brought up during the judges comments on the second episode of the season: “One Night Only, Part 2.” Marcia did an interpretative dance number to “I’ll Make Love To You” by Boyz II Men while in a white dress and massive braces and she ends up praising a picture of Ross Matthews. Marcia places in the top that episode. On the runway, she wears a Chanel inspired blue tweed cropped jacket and a mini skirt while skipping down the runway. Marcia told guest judge Ariana Grande that she was only wearing Grande’s makeup line of R.E.M. Beauty products for that episode. RuPaul then says she needs to add more in the makeup department, thus most likely allowing fans to read her for her makeup. Yes, her makeup is soft in comparison to other queens on her season like Mistress Isabelle Brooks, but that doesn’t make her makeup less valid.

In episode 4 after the Supersized Snatch Game, the runway was Beautiful Nightmare. Marcia’s look was I guess an evil dentist in a black belted white dentist’s coat with a mint green tie and undershirt, a dental cheek retractor, glasses, a thin black mustache, and a black wig with space buns on top. On the bottom she simply wears mint green leggings and lilac platform wedge shoes. Despite Marcia doing a fantastic job as Tim Gun in the Snatch Game and being in the top three that week, Ru did not like this look either.

Then in episode 6 after the Old Friends Gold challenge, the queens walked the runway in the Tie-Dye to Die For category. Marcia is in a hippie inspired look wearing a halter top catsuit in pastel pink, blue, and yellow tie-dye print, a choker, and a headband with hanging fabric on the side of her head also in the same print. Her wig and soft makeup look fantastic in this look, but after placing safe this episode, Ru tells Mistress Isabelle Brooks, who was in the top, to give Marcia some advice on her makeup.

The judges, queens, and guest judges can say whatever they want on the show but when negative comments are made about someone’s appearance, it gives fans liberty to talk badly about the queens as well. Marcia’s acting was amazing in every acting challenge and she was in the best lip sync on the show with Anetra performing to “Boss Bitch” by Doja Cat. Marcia deserves more credit for what she did on the show.

Not to be preachy, but all fans should respect every queen, with the exception of a few, that come out of the Drag Race franchise no matter what country or what year they blessed our TV screens. I admit to saying some cunty things probably about her looks at times, but that doesn’t detract from how great of a drag queen Marcia is. I saw her at 3 Dollar Bill in Brooklyn, NY on March 21 for Julie J’sStand Up NYC” benefit for “trans & drag family in Tennessee and beyond…” and she was fantastic! Marcia can dance and she looked stunning as well.

I respect Marcia Marcia Marcia during her break from social media. When she comes back, I’d respect her if she muted comments as well because she doesn’t deserve that kind of negative energy if she doesn’t want it.
