After Naysha Lopez’s elimination, Jessica Wild is quite sad that her Puerto Rican sister went home. The queens quickly have Kahanna take out the lipstick votes from the voting box, revealing that she received three votes to go home while Naysha received seven. Jessica chose Kahanna because Naysha is her Puerto Rican sister, but for some reason Kahanna says it doesn’t make sense. I know I’m not competing but to me it makes complete sense because it clearly shows that Jessica and Naysha have been friends for some time. But Jessica tells Kahanna she doesn’t regret how she voted and in the confessional she even says, “I’m going to vote the way I want. I don’t need anybody to tell me how to vote.”
Mrs. Kasha Davis admits she voted for Kahanna as well. She says that even though she believes in Kahanna she was swayed by how emotional Naysha was when telling the queens how important this competition is to her.
The next day RuPaul announces that for this week’s maxi challenge they are throwing “The Supermarket Ball.” The queens will deliver three looks: first is Legen-Dairy Queen, Fruity Patootie is second, and the final look is called Supermarket Supermodel, where the queens have to create a high fashion look made out of unconventional supermarket products.
Kasha admits she’s nervous and doesn’t want to look like a clown. In her confessional she says, “I don’t sew because I’m not Amish and I have good credit.” Lala Ri has PTSD after her bag look on season 13. Apparently she has learned how to sew, but honestly that terrible look is what made her extremely famous, so maybe a second bad look would be smarter? She’s also nervous because she can’t keep herself safe with a lip sync performance this time around. Lala and Heidi N Closet then have another very public chat about their alliance but keep getting interrupted. I’m sure everyone knows about the alliance though because the Werk Room doesn’t look that big.
During the walkthrough, it’s clear that Ru loves Jimbo. Jimbo shares that she was a professional costume designer and everything she says makes Ru laugh. Darienne says that she wants to go with a lot of colors instead of just wearing a slimming black. Since she lost 200 pounds, she doesn’t want to fade into the backgroud or be the shrinking violet, instead she wants to be a Violet Chachki. Ru compliments Alexis’ improved fashion sense. She’s thinking about making a look with shelf liners and black trash bags to avoid too much color and go with Earth tones to be more high fashion.
When Ru speaks with Jessica, she admits she was nervous about going on All Stars because new drag has changed and improved in the last 13 years but came back anyway because she is legendary and wants to prove that she’s winner material. Kahanna talks about avoiding dents in her silicone work on her ass so she has to roll the silicone. She even uses a crystal face roller on her ass so she can be more spiritual.
Ru compliments Heidi’s fashion this time around. Heidi calls her looks on season 12 “poverty chic” and “now it’s just ignorance with a touch of restraint.” She also says she became a lot less codependent after her original season because of growing up with a sheltering grandma. After season 12, Heidi spoke with her grandma about coming home for Thanksgiving but because of COVID she couldn’t make it. Two days after speaking with her grandma, she passed. Seeing Heidi cry so hard was painful and touching.
The following day when the queens are getting ready, Heidi brings up how in past seasons the queens usually have had unanimous votes at the beginning of the compeition, but that’s not the case this season. The room immediately goes silent. Queens then say they would vote on how their comepeitors have been doing throughout the competition. But Kahanna doesn’t trust any of these queens because they’ll decide who goes home however they want.
On the main stage, TS Madison and guest judge Jojo Siwa are present, and honestly she looks as if Elton John and Liberace had a baby. Now let’s get into this maxi challenge.
First category is Legen-Dairy:
- Jimbo is in an all white look with bubbles throughout the piece and strange, exaggerated, two dimensionall sleeves, a short dress, and a helmet.
- Kahanna Monstrese is wearing cow print pants and a long sleeved extremely cropped top exposing her underboob. I do enjoy her braided pigtails that have cowbells on them.
- Jaymes Mansfield is in a short, white tube top dress with big red and pink hands printed on them, a red and pink catsuit under the dress, and her shawl is a set of massive hands holding massive cookies. She references having a Lady Miss Kier inspired wig on so I appreciate … the reference.
- Kandy Muse is in a splashed milk look. It’s basically a white corset with white melted plastic pieces placed on her hips, upper arms, and neck that give a splash effect.
- Alexis Michelle is in a pant and corseted jacket combo in cow print with a face mask exposing her eyes and mouth, massive cow ears, a red hanky on her neck, and a tail. I like this cow look more than Kahanna’s, just saying.
- Lala Ri is in a long sleeved cow print bodysuit with exaggerated, angular shoulder pads. This cow look is more draggy, with black harness chaps connected to her thigh high boots, a hat, and purses that are basically milk cartons.
- Darienne Lake is in a white Princess Leah meets dripping milk look but with a wavy updo blonde wig.
- Jessica Wild is in a white mermaid gown with massive, glitter Fruit Loops placed all over the dress, a milk splash on her right shoulder, and a bowl filled with cereal.
- Mrs. Kasha Davis is also in a white gown with a slit in the middle just at the knee, a beehive updo, and a loop-like shape on her right shoulder. For some reason she has a pissed off look in her face, I don’t understand why though. According to Kasha, this is a reference to her season 7 “Glamazonian Airways” challenge character but her character got fired from the airline and now works at the supermarket selling sour milk. How camp.
- Heidi is in a blue and white milk-woman look with a short white poncho and blue tie, blue mini skirt with a white fabric over her lap, a milk–woman cap on, a milk holder, and her legs are beautifully oiled up. There’s also a dripping white hand mark on her left ass cheek. This is my favorite look in this category.
The second category is Fruity Patootie:
- Jimbo is a Versace inspired dress with the faces of celebrities and cultural figures such as RuPaul, Cher, and Marsha P. Johnson in pop art colors. I don’t think this fits the category except for being colorful and fruity as in very gay.
- Kahanna is wearing a yellow, banana dress that is peeled to expose her head and tower blond wig and big gold banana earrings that also act as jewelry stitches holding the banana dress together.
- Jaymes is in a white bodysuit with lemon trees coming out of saucers on her breasts. Also, are those supposed to be garters? Garters are meant to connect to something, not dangling like sad jewlery.
- Kandy is giving cherry in a red corset-leotard with cherries dangling from the bottom trim, a cherry tattoo on her right nipple, a cherry head piece, and a red tulle shawl.
- Alexis is in a blueberry colored dress with a massive skirt made out of a silk taffeta with glittery blueberries on it and the back left side has shades of blue tulle. There’s also tulle ruching on the collar of the dress, tulle gloves, and a blueberry dumpling looking hair crown.
- Lala is apparently a red caramel apple but she’s just wearing a red, long sleeved vinyl dress with a dripping caramel collar-necklace and headpiece with a wooden stick attached to her head.
- Darienne is in an orange and yellow flowy kaftan dress that reveals it into a stoned nude full body suit with whipped cream on her breasts, vagina and ass and cherries on the front private parts and a banana in the back. I love a look that combines glamor, sex and camp.
- Jessica Wild looks as if the Sun Maid woman came to life as a drag queen. Jessica is in a short, red and white gingham dress with acai shoulder and hip pieces as she holds a wicker basket filled with more berries.
- Kasha is in a beautiful yellow and silver Vegas showgirl look with feathery designs on the dress, ostrich feather trim on the bottom and sleeves, and an ostrich headpiece. The only part of this look that fits the category are her banana shoulder pieces.
- Heidi looks like the queen of the “Strawberry Shortcake” animated series. The bodice is a glittery green strawberry top and the bottom is massively puffed pants that make her look like a cartoon with inflated hips and thighs. The pants are strawberry pink with gold stoning for the seeds. Her pastel strawberry hair and basket that have real strawberries in it makes this my favorite look in this category as well.
The final category is Supermarket Supermodel:
- Jimbo is in a dress made entirely out of vegetables. The bodice is made out of artichokes and her skirt and left shoulder are covered in green and purple lettuce.
- Kahanna is in a blue and yellow leotard and thigh high boots. Her left bodice is blue while the other side is yellow and the rest of the look including the shoulder pieces, hip pieces, and boots have the same alternating color mirroring scheme. Unfortunately, the crotch area isn’t fully put in place so we see flashes of a Barbie crotch.
- Jaymes is a housewife with a purple bustier and skirt and a floral apron with a pink trim on it, as well as blue gloves with the nails painted on them. Her trash can is also a puppet.
- Kandy has an aluminum look with a bunched up bioblanket skirt that isn’t particularly flattering, and a top piece that is V shaped which opens up at the chest. Her lip makeup looks amazing and while the front of the wig is intricately sculpted, I don’t like wigs like these because the back looks like a long mullet.
- Alexis is in a cocktail dress. Yes it’s simple, but the skirt is made out of paper bags but looks like a wood material, which is pretty badass, and the black top is made out of stoned shelf liners.
- Lala is in a much better look than her season 13 bag ball creation. She used an ecru, shiny opaque mesh fabric to create a relaxed fit crop top with a ruched collar and layered miniskit.
- Darienne Lake is in a dress with a bodice made out of multicolored striped ribbon and the skirt portion is made out of a plain blue fabric. Connected to her puffed shoulders is an iridescent cape. I honestly like this look.
- Jessica Wild is in a bodysuit made out of pink fabric and flowers covering her breasts and hips with a white, purple, and pink floral panelling in the middle. Her underwear is made out of a leaf and a long pink skirt falls on the back half of the look. Her hair also perfectly matches the color of the fabric.
- Kasha looks like a group of kindergarteners created a school project on her and added as much as they could. This look has too much. If she subtracted some of the white and yellow flowers on the bodice then she would have a shape. Instead of having random colored bags for the skirt, there could have been some sort of pattern or uniformity colorwise because the skirt shape is good. The flower cap and birthday cake just gives me elementary school but also psychedelic queen turning it out at a festival in New Mexico.
- Heidi is in a mermaid gown with a puffed out skirt made out of napkins and fabric. The top half looks like it’s made out of fushia loofahs, the skirt is orange and maroon until the lower half is a gradient from maroon to orange to pink.
Kahanna, Jaymes, Alexis, and Heidi are deemed safe and I have no idea how Heidi N Closet is safe this episode. Her first two looks were the best in their categories and her third look was a lot better than most of the queens in the top this week (Kandy and Jimbo I’m talking to you).
Michelle liked Jimbo’s first look and kind of critiqued the Supermarket look but for some reason everyone liked her Fruity look, oh wait, it’s because Jimbo kissed Ru’s ass; Kandy was in the top somehow except Michelle critiques her for being repetitive with her shapes (two middle ground critiques in a row, hmm, interesting); Lala got good critiques because she did better than season 13 but still not better than any of Heidi’s looks (that makes three); and Jessica Wild is praised for all of her looks as well as telling a story with each look (what doesn’t make sense for me is Michelle is known for critiquing bodysuits for design challenges, but she excuses it for both Jimbo’s and Jessica Wild’s third looks).
Darienne’s Legen-Dairy look is critiqued as well as her third look for not connecting (vague critique, but okay). Mrs. Kasha Davis is critiqued for her first look because her facial expression was confusing, her last look is dragged through the mud, but Kasha is still optimistic and positive to be receiving critiques in her “biggest, busted, Pinata dress” and calls this moment a blessing. To me, this is kind of pivotal for how a queen in the bottom reacts to being close to going home. She doesn’t look stressed or sad, she’s actually happy and is thankful to be there.
Jessica Wild is the winner of this week’s challenge and receives a cash prize of $5,000. Jimbo, Kandy Muse, and Lala Ri are safe while Darienne Lake and Mrs. Kasha Davis are in the bottom two. Jessica Wild is in a La Veneno look with red bangs and a red ostrich feather cape. The lip sync assassin is Canada vs. the World winner Ra’Jah O’Hara. They lip sync to “Coconuts” by Kim Petras and Jessica chose the right breast plate for this performance. Jessica immediately takes off the cape to expose a red glittery dress and breasts covered with pasties that connect to chains on the dress. She bounces her breasts around like a professional and clearly wins in the first 10 seconds. Jessica Wild wins a total of $35,000 in this one episode, which is more than her original season’s winner Tyra Sanchez received for winning season 2. Talk about a success story. Unfortunately, yet expectantly, Mrs. Kasha Davis is eliminated by Jessica Wild.
